Open Days for prospective students and parents
28th, 29th and 30th October 2008 and 15th January 2009
1.45pm – 5pm
The Open Day begins with registration at 1.45pm followed by an introduction from Mr Neil Richards (Principal) and Mr Nick Lush (Vice Principal College). The UWC National Committee of Great Britain will then give a presentation followed by a question and answer session. The event closes with group tours of the Castle and campus given by current students.

AC announces scholarship for Estonian student
Today the President of the Republic of Estonia, Toomas Hendrik Ilves, visited Atlantic College and the St Donats Arts Centre as part of the Walestonia festival, a series of cultural events celebrating the longstanding relations between Wales and Estonia. During the visit Principal Neil Richards offered a full two-year scholarship for an Estonian student to attend Atlantic College for the 2009-2011 academic term. President Ilves thanked the college for the great offer and said that Estonia would find a well-suited candidate for the scholarship. Read more

Ex AC student in World Bellyboarding Championship
Guest presenter and professional surfer Renee Godfrey (AC 99) takes part in this year’s World Bellyboarding Championship for the BBC’s Countryfile programme. Armed with board and wetsuit, Renee enters the ‘junior’ category for competitors under 50. Missed it? Watch again on BBC iplayer.

Today Atlantic College was delighted to welcome the Dutch National Commitee along with their patron HRH the Prince of Oranje, a former AC student, to St Donats castle. Guests enjoyed a ‘typical’ AC day starting with students showing them to morning classes, followed by lunch in the Dining Hall. During the afternoon AC students led guests on a tour of the campus, ending with service activity demonstrations on the seafront. Principal Neil Richards also gave a presentation about the future goals of Atlantic College and Vice Principal Nick Lush spoke about the exciting student led initiatives happening this year.

Millennium Seed Bank sows global message at Atlantic College
Atlantic College has taken the first step in establishing an exciting partnership with the Millennium Seed Bank when students and staff were treated to a presentation from the Seed Bank about their work and how they can become involved in the MSB’s co-operative projects. Read more
